Prevent accidents; remain calm in emergency situations; work with little or no supervision; analyze and correct facility health and safety hazards; learn and adhere to the aquatic division’s emergency procedures. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and facility guests a must.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, in and out of the pool; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be in good physical condition to swim 500 meters and retrieve a 10 pound brick from the bottom of the diving well.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
